Aspirations (Remix)

This track is a remix of one of my own compositions. Remixing one of your own compositions will always be a challenge, because you will constantly be influenced by the original. However, since the original track I remixed was primarily a piano composition, I was able to take the melody from the piano, and build a completely different track from that, while still respecting the prior track.

I knew when I wrote the original Aspirations, that I wanted to remix it, and create a more upbeat EDM variant of it. I created an original synth to play the melody from the original track, and from there built up a variety of instruments and sounds to support the lead melody.

I drew upon some of the experiences and knowledge I had gained from the Originality track in regards to the buildup and transitions in this track. I kept it minimal, but I felt that adding a few variants would help the composition transition and flow better.
