New Track – Originality!

Originality

This track was both a challenge, and a lot of fun to write. This started out as an experiment, where I was curious as to what Twitch chat emotes would sound like if converted to audio. The result was pretty interesting. I then decided to create a track out of them.

Apart from the drums, and a few piano chords, every sound and instrument originated from a Twitch emote. I accomplished this by importing the images as wavetables into Xfer’s Serum, and from there I built multiple synths which were then used in this track.

I also wanted to create something similar to a buildup, and then a “drop”, which is common in a lot of EDM music. To accomplish this I automated filters and changed up the drum pattern a bit during this section. Since this was my first attempt at something like this, I can definitely see room for improvement, however I think the result fits the track quite well.

This track is a little different than what I usually write, however it was a lot of fun, and it was definitely a learning experience. I hope you enjoy it!
